As a huge fan of Sabrina Carpenter, I listen to her music a lot and have followed her marketing journey. In the height of her Short N' Sweet era, and led by the popularity of her single Espresso, she collabed with a lot of coffee companies. One of these, that seemed obvious to Kyle and me, was missing, though: Nespresso. This is an idea that we've had for almost 2 years now, since the album came out, but I never got around to designing it. Now, I thought I would.
This project was largely a journey to rediscover my love for marketing campaigns and Photoshop composites, which I haven't done in a while. It was incredibly worth it.
This project took a long time, largely due to the lack of mockups for the projects I wanted to make. Thus, I had to create them myself for the pods, machine, and box. There also wasn't a template for the content on the box, so I had to recreate all the text and symbols myself. I'm really proud of how it turned out, though, and I think this project has expanded my skillset.
The flavour for this collab is called Brown Sugar Kiss, and it has notes of brown sugar, golden vanilla, and toasted biscuit. I wasn't able to say this anywhere in the mockups, so I thought I'd say it here.
In the end, I wanted a mix of ads featuring Sabrina and product shots and mockups. What I've created in the end feels like a real campaign, and one that I wish was real.
EVIDENCE:
"Sabrina Carpenter x Nespresso is a collab I've always wanted, and I'm happy to bring it to life."
VERDICT:
This is one of my favourite things I've ever created. I say that a lot, but there's something so clean and real about this campaign.
